Connect your workspace
Your workspace owner authorizes YAPL from Settings → Integrations → Slack. It takes about a minute, and it only ever happens once.

Create a task mid-conversation
Type / in any channel and pick Create YAPL task. Choose the plan, name the work, add an assignee, due date and starting status if you want them, and it lands in YAPL before the conversation moves on.

Find any task you own
The Find YAPL task shortcut searches everything assigned to you by name. Each hit comes back with a way into the planner and an Update progress button, so you can deal with it straight from the results.

Run /yapl tasks me to see what's on you, /yapl status to close something out, or /yapl assign to hand work off. No browser tab required.

What we access
Channel and user lists so setup works, permission to post messages, and slash command activation. That is the whole list.
What we store
Encrypted bot tokens, the link between your Slack and YAPL accounts, and a 30 day log of what we have sent.
What we don't access
Your team's Slack messages, and any conversation that is not a direct message to our own bot.
Where your data lives
Integration data (tokens, account links, message logs) stays in your workspace's own database region, and notification content only ever goes to the Slack workspace you connected.
